2021.10.22 16:46 Stonikus TIFU by ruining a pharmacist's day
TW: this story involves pregnancy and its multiple outcomes.
As per tradition, this FU happened about four months ago, right after my daughter was born.
My wife (40f) and I (36M) became pregnant last year during the Thing, after ten years of marriage and multiple doctors telling us we couldn't get pregnant. Her age and a bunch of other fun medical issues involved a lot of trips to our local pharmacy. Since I was the one picking up all the meds, I became sort of friendly with the pharmacist and would update her on how the pregnancy was going.
Fast forward to this May, when our amazing daughter was born. After two days in hospital and two days in NICU with absolutely no sleep, we finally went home with our little bundle of joy to enjoy....more not sleeping.
After we got home, having slept a total of about four hours in six days, I went to the pharmacy to get some after-care meds for my wife, which involved pain medication and some laxatives. For some reason, these are on two different orders, so there I am, basically asleep on my feet, and the tech is telling me I have to talk to the pharmacist. I'm like fine, whatever, so the pharmacist comes over and looks at the prescription for pain meds, then says "isn't your wife pregnant?"
Me (staring blankly at some point in the middle distance and looking like an absolute zombie): "not anymore".
At this point she went really quiet and even in my state of delirium I felt like I'd done something wrong but at that moment I just kept staring in an effort to keep my eyes open.
The pharmacist says something like "oh..." really softly and just stays quiet. She hands me the pain meds and asks "is there anything I can do?" in sort of a weird way.
I finally look at the order and somehow remember that there were supposed to be post-natal laxatives as well, so I ask about those.
The pharmacist stares at me for an uncomfortably long time with this weird look before saying "did...did the pregnancy go ok?"
At this point my fog-brain has a moment of clarity and I realize how I'm coming across to this nice lady. I'm a grown ass man who's been talking to her for the last eight months about how nervous my wife and I were during this whole pregnancy and about how the pregnancy meds and the meds my wife was already on might interact, and I walk into her shop looking like a grief-stricken zombie with crazy hair saying my wife isn't pregnant "anymore". I manage to pull myself together long enough to explain that yes, our daughter is home now, yes, everything is fine, I just haven't slept.
She just gave a huge sigh and looked a little traumatized before sort of congratulating us and completing my order. It was only on the way home that I remembered that in one of our previous interactions she had mentioned how her daughter had issues similar to my wife's that resulted in a miscarriage two years ago. So I'm sure she appreciated my dumb ass re-enacting that whole experience for her.
Our interactions haven't been as friendly since, and I feel terrible for making her go through that.
And no, we still haven't gotten any sleep.
TL;DR TIFU by making a friendly pharmacist think that my wife hade a late-term miscarriage and probably making her relive some traumatic events in her life.

2021.10.22 16:46 morkani Is there any possibility for a woman to conceive a second child while she is pregnant? (And are there examples of it in history?)
I was watching a show that had time traveling where the guy went back in time and almost had sex with his mom while she was pregnant with him.
I wondered if there were ever weird occurrences that might allow this.

2021.10.22 16:46 SWATwatermelon Mini Search
Hey guys. Sometime ago I found a great mini posted here . It was some kind of a howitzer or Cannon with 4 guys operating it. It was reminiscent of Grim Dark Warhammer 40k Guardsmen or at least that's the feeling I got seeing it for the first time. I would love If you name it for me and if you have any similar stuff for me to browse. Thank you and good luck printing.

2021.10.22 16:46 ALasagnaForOne Can you remove iCloud photo syncing between devices but still have them back up those files?
I recently signed up for iCloud for the first time because I bought a new phone with less storage than my previous one.
For context I use my phone for personal stuff and I have an iPad I use for my design work, so I store a lot of reference images on there.
I attempted to sync both devices to iCloud syncing because I wanted to be sure that if one of them became lost or damaged, I wouldn't lose all my media, but then I realized that it was syncing photos and videos between both devices. I do not want this, it makes it extremely hard to do work on my iPad when I have to scroll through thousands of personal photos to find my work-related images.
So what I want is to ensure that my photos on both devices will back up safely to the Cloud or wherever, but I don't want them the sync to each other. Is this possible? How can I be sure my media is able to be backed up when I have Photos disabled in my iCloud settings?

2021.10.22 16:46 Ezio1515 Too much weight loss?
I'm down 10 pounds since the start of October. I feel this is an unhealthy amount of weight loss but I feel mentally and psychically the best I've felt in awhile. I'm also exercising every day. Is this worrying? I know the healthy amount of weight loss is 2-3 pounds per week and I know I'm not to much higher then this but it's not like I'm ultra exercising. Should I be worried?
